Hamilton man charged with possession of child pornography

The Hamilton Police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit conducted an investigation into an individual distributing child pornography to other users of an online text-based chat program.

“The male was identified as being from the City of Hamilton,” police say.

On Thursday, October 17, a search warrant was executed at a Hamilton residence by members of the ICE Unit, Technological Crime Unit, uniform patrol, and the Division 30 High Enforcement Action Team.

26 year old Hamilton man Phillip Jodoin was arrested and brought before court. He is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography.

Police say a forensic examination of seized electronic devices is currently being conducted, which may lead to further charges being filed.
