Hamilton man charged with historical sexual assaults in Mississauga, Toronto

A Hamilton man has been charged for the alleged sexual assaults of three minors over a 26-year period.

Investigators believe Jeoffrey Serrette, 73 of Hamilton, sexually assaulted the three victims between 1978 and 2004.

Toronto Police arrested Serrette on July 31. He’s been charged with:

  • two counts of indecent assault on a woman
  • three counts of sexual interference with someone younger than 14
  • sexual assault, and
  • assault

The charges have not been proven in court. Serrette will appear in a court room in Toronto

There is no statute of limitations on sexual assault. Incidents can be reported even decades after the initial assault.
