A food wholesaler in Hamilton was temporarily shut down after recently failing a routine health inspection.
On Thursday, April 13, Hamilton Public Health inspected and closed down Sasa Manufacturing and Importing Ltd at 321 Nash Rd N.
According to the report, the warehouse did not keep food protected from contamination, with there being “evidence of significant insect/rodent infestation.”
Other offences included not keeping floors clean and not providing a separate hand-washing basin for food handlers.
This is currently the only inspection on Sasa Manufacturing’s public inspection record.
UPDATE: The wholesaler has reopened after passing reinspection on Friday, April 13.
