Hamilton driver caught speeding at 165 km/h has licence suspended

Hamilton Police apprehended a driver for speeding at 165 km/h on the QEW this morning (Oct 18).
According to authorities, the radar gun registered the vehicle’s speed at 55 km/h over the posted speed limit of 110 km/h.
In response to this speeding incident, Hamilton Police suspended the driver’s licence for a period of 30 days, and their vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per the provisions of Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act.
These measures are enforced to deter reckless driving and ensure the safety of all road users, police say.
