A collision has closed Highway 5 in Flamborough in both directions today, Hamilton police’s traffic unit announced.
The force posted the information on X, formerly known as Twitter, just after 2:30 p.m. today (Aug. 31).
Hamilton police did not immediately provide more details to hamilton.insauga.com except to say that “a transport truck is blocking the road.”
Today’s collision occurs after another accident involving two vehicles that injured three people including a pedestrian Wednesday at Centennial Parkway North and Delawana Drive.
In an update provided to hamilton.insauga.com about yesterday’s collision, police spokesperson Jackie Penman said a vehicle travelling north on Centennial Parkway failed to stop at a red light at Delawana.
“The force from the collision sent one vehicle off the road, striking a pedestrian,” she said in an email. “The individual was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
