20 Ellis Avenue Hamilton

A cozy-but-efficient 700-sq. ft home in Hamilton’s Crown Point neighbourhood was one of the most affordable homes sold in Ontario last month, with the Ellis Avenue property released for just $365,000 on January 18.

Built in 1910, the house offers efficiency and comfort, featuring a bright open-concept main room, updated kitchen and bathroom and main-level stacked laundry. With a new furnace and AC and a surprisingly huge backyard the property presented an ideal opportunity for the discerning buyer.

The detached bungalow did not come with a driveway but front parking could be made available by the city.

The home came in third in a list compiled by Zoocasa of the most affordable homes sold in the province last month, with a home in Windsor at #1, selling at $320,000. The Ellis Avenue property could have been in second but were edged by a Belleville home by just $1,000 because the Hamilton home sold for $16,000 over asking.
