Clifford Brewing and Collective Arts Brewery helped Hamilton shine on the Ontario brewing stage this weekend with five medals, including four gold.

Collective Arts earned gold medals for Telltale Signs in the Czech Lager category and for Jam Up the Mash in the American Wild Ale category.

Clifford came home with a gold medal in the Belgian Ale category for Obscured by Clouds (a collaboration with Muddy York Brewing of Toronto) and in the Spiced Beer category for Spider Palace and a silver medal for Clifford Porter in the Brown British Beer category.

Clifford Porter won gold in this category last year (and in 2015) and is a three-time winner at the Canadian Brewing Awards as well.

The Best in Show Award went to Double Tempest, an Imperial Stout from Amsterdam Brewery of Toronto.

The awards are sanctioned and judged by the Beer Judge Certification Program and judged according to published style guidelines.
