A GoFundMe page has been started for a Hamilton husband and father of three who was killed in a single-car collision last week.

Jason Young, 44, of Stoney Creek, was killed last Friday afternoon (August 28) when the car he was driving crashed into a hydro pole on South Service Road near Centennial.

Young was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hamilton Police have said Young’s car lost control and left the road but they are still working to determine the cause of the fatal crash.

Young leaves behind a young family, with two little girls under the age of four. Young’s wife, Judith, is due to have another baby in January.

The GoFundMe hopes to help Young’s family pay for his funeral and any other expenses.

As of publication, the page has gathered more than $6,500 in donations and counting.
