Fugitive wanted in string of B&Es arrested in Hamilton

A man wanted in a string of break-and-enters has been arrested after nearly a month on the lam.

Hamilton Police announced the search for Quincy Owen Francis, 29, on July 10. He was wanted on several charges connected to break-and-enters between April and August.

Investigators believe Francis entered 25 homes across Stoney Creek, Ancaster, and Flamborough in that time. He’s also been linked to several break-ins in Niagara Region and an unrelated incident in 2023.

As a result, Francis is charged with;

  • Six counts of break and enter
  • Five counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, and
  • Two counts of vehicle theft
