Police are hoping to reunite an urn found in Hamilton with its rightful owner.
The discovery was reported on Nov. 6 after the urn was found on Pirie Drive between Davidson Boulevard and Thornton Trail in the Dundas area, the Hamilton Police Service says.
Officers held onto the urn for safekeeping, and are searching for the owner.
But the urn doesn’t have any markings, inscriptions, or distinguishing features to help investigators identify its owner.
Police are asking anyone with information about the urn to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Hamilton police Const. Trey Paonessa by calling 905-546-4911 ext. 1661, or by email at [email protected].
Anonymous tips may also be provided to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 or visiting www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca. When you contact Crime Stoppers you stay anonymous, never have to testify, and could receive a $2,000 reward.
