The weekend is here again and it’s the final one of September so we should probably make this one count.
Hamilton’s weather forecast isn’t looking too promising with an 80 per cent chance of showers on Saturday but Sunday looks a little more lovely but things will feel a little cooler all weekend long.
A little bit of bad weather, however, shouldn’t keep one from seeing and doing all the things Hamilton has to offer on the weekends.
To help you narrow down what your options are, here are 5 things to do in Hamilton this weekend (Sept. 24 to 26).

Catch some Canadian Premier League soccer action when Hamilton’s Forge FC and British Columbia-based Pacific FC face each other at Hamilton’s Tim Hortons Field on Saturday (Sept. 25) at 7 p.m. More scheduling information and tickets can be found on the club’s website. 4. Hamilton Philharmonic Free Concert
After a year and a half apart, the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra (HPO) is performing a free, full-orchestra concert at FirstOntario Concert Hall on Saturday afternoon. Enjoy an afternoon of bright and beautiful works live in the hall or watch online. Live tickets, however, have been sold out but fans can still watch the live stream. 3. Waterdown Chili Fest
The 9th annual Chili Fest is happening on Friday September 24th to Sunday September 26th. Participating restaurants will be offering chili-inspired menu items with proceeds going towards Flamborough Women’s Resource Centre (FWRC). FWRC, a program of Interval House of Hamilton, provides counselling and support to women living in the Flamborough area. More information on the event can be found on the Waterdown BIA’s website.
2. Live comedy
Sophie Buddle is appearing at Levity Comedy Club and Lounge this Friday and Saturday. Buddle is a Canadian stand-up comedian, most noted for her 2019 album ‘A Lil Bit of Buddle’, which won a Juno Award in 2020. She’s also written for This Hour Has 22 Minutes and appeared on Just For Laughs, Jon Dore’s ‘The Standup Show’ and more. More information, including ticketing, can be found on Levity’s website.
1. Sidewalk Sales on Ottawa
Check out all this popular east Hamilton destination has to offer this Saturday as businesses on the street take their goods and services to the sidewalk. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Main to Barton Ottawa Street North will be closed to motorized traffic for people to wander safely and enjoy live music, food trucks and great shopping.
