‘Forced’ power outage affecting hundreds of Hamilton homes and businesses

Alectra Utilities is reporting that there is a “forced” power outage in the Longwood Road to Locke Street South from Homewood Avenue to Hillcrest Avenue of Hamilton affecting 938 customers.

The cause of the outage is an ‘Emergency Services Requirement,’ the utility provider said.

Local media is reporting that emergency services are on the scene responding to reports of a body found near McMaster Innovation Park.
Crews have been dispatched to make repairs. The estimated time for power restoration is Mon, Feb 3, 2020 – 12:00 PM.
