Hamilton residents over the age of 12 can get their second COVID-19 vaccine dose at FirstOntario Centre without an appointment, starting Thursday (July 15).
The clinic will continue to offer walk-ins for first doses, as well.
Those who wish to book an appointment can still do so through the online and telephone provincial booking systems.
Approximately 656,233 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered with upwards of 75.3 per cent of Hamiltonians over the age of 18 receiving a vaccine to date. While 55.4 per cent having completed their vaccine series.
In addition, 62 per cent of youth ages 12 to 17 have received the first dose to date and 25.2 have completed their vaccine series.
Hamilton Public Health recommends getting your second dose at the shortened interval of at least 28 days after you first in an effort to minimize the impact of the COVID-19 Delta variant.
