Festival of Friends ready to rock Hamilton
Published August 4, 2023 at 10:30 am
The Festival of Friends kicks off tonight (Aug. 4) and continues throughout the weekend at Gage Park in Hamilton.
Featuring live music, food, games, and rides, the free event is one of the city’s most anticipated summer events.
Starting in 1976 as an opportunity to bring folk musicians together, the festival has ground to become a diverse and eclectic event both in terms of activities that are held and the performers who entertain.
This year the likes of Juno Award winners Bahamas, legendary reggae artists The Wailers, and the Jame Barker Band will headline the musical performances each night.
Other acts that will be appearing on stage tonight through Saturday and Sunday include Lighthouse, the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, Matty Simpson and Heather Valley & The Current State.
A complete schedule of events for the festival can be found here.
