E-bike rider suffers life-threatening injuries in Hamilton crash

An e-bike rider was seriously injured in a crash in Hamilton on the weekend.
The rider was hit by a vehicle on Barton Street East near Prospect Street shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Hamilton Police said.
The male driver of the e-bike was transported to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, police said. He remains in critical condition, police said.
Barton Street East was closed between Leinster Avenue and Melrose Avenue for the investigation but has since reopened.
Police seek witnesses to this incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone in the area around the time of the collision with dash camera footage or homes or businesses in the area with surveillance cameras should check their footage.
