Driver, 91, charged over death of pedestrian, 77, in Hamilton

A 91-year-old Hamilton man has been charged with careless driving that caused the death of a 77-year-old pedestrian with a walker.
An SUV driven by the 91-year-old man struck the pedestrian, 77, as he crossed Fennell Avenue East on Hamilton Mountain on July 25 at 10:22 a.m., according to Hamilton police.
The pedestrian was treated for “life-threatening” injuries at the hospital and later died. The SUV driver was not injured.
