Convict on the lam known to frequent Hamilton, Halton

A man still serving the last of his sentence for drug trafficking is now at large.
The OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad announced Trevor Charlton, 43, had gone on the lam on Jan. 4. Charlton was convicted of drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by, failure to comply with court orders and uttering death threats.
He was sentenced to four years and three months for his crime and was recently granted his statutory release. This system is given to convicts after two-thirds of their sentence. During this period, they continue to serve the final third of their sentence while under strict supervision in the community.
Police describe Charlton as “Caucasian,” six feet tall, 210 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. He may have shaved his head. He has a tattoo of the name “Kristan” on his left arm. He has other tattoos on his right arm, abdomen and shoulders. He’s known to frequent the GTA, Hamilton and Halton Region.
