Barricaded person causes large police presence in Hamilton

Hamilton Police have reported they are on the scene with a person barricaded inside a Hamilton home.

Shortly after 2 p.m. police confirmed a large presence near Rymal Rd. and Pritchard Rd, down in the south end of the city. Investigators shared no details about this individual. They did advise residents to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.

“Please choose alternate routes and stay out of the area as we work to resolve the issue,” police said. They did not provide an estimate on when that may be.
