Ancaster Butter Tart Festival (and Sweet & Heat Market) at the Fairgrounds Saturday

A dark chocolate habanero and honey walnut butter tart with a hint of moonshine?
Yes please!
But if traditional butter tarts (Team Raisin would like a word) are more your thing, the Ancaster Sweet & Heat Market, part of the Great Canadian Butter Tart Fest, will have something for all tastes Saturday at the Ancaster Fairgrounds.
There will be two full halls of handmade artisans, butter tart bakers, hot sauce creators (15 in all), Valentine treat makers and a boutique of the best artisans on display.
Food trucks and various food vendors will also be on hand and you can get Super Bowl-ready with games, contest and more.
As far as that chocolate/habanero/honey/walnut/moonshine butter tart goes, that will surely be a hot commodity and will only be available Saturday in Ancaster.
The Great Canadian ButterTart Fest will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ancaster Fairgrounds (indoors with a small outdoor section) at 630 Trinity Rd. S. Admission is $6 (cash only), with kids 10 and under free. For more information visit
