62-year-old woman dies after e-scooter crashes with vehicle in Hamilton

Terrorism charges laid against youth following arrest in GTA, Mounties say

A 62-year-old woman has died following a crash between an electric scooter and a vehicle in Hamilton on Friday afternoon.

Hamilton Police say Emergency crews were called to Maple Avenue and Grosvenor Avenue shortly after 5 p.m.

The woman, a Hamilton resident, was riding the e-scooter and was taken to a hospital, where she later died of her injuries.

The intersection of the collision was closed for four hours while officers examined the scene, police say.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam or surveillance footage from the area to come forward.
