Residents are walking, running, rolling, and biking in support of the 5KM Care Walk today (May 28) in Hamilton.
The walk is a virtual event hosted by the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP), a community-based not-for-profit organization that provides free services for Hamilton residents with cancer.
CAP is located at 555 Concession Street in Hamilton.
The event is being held virtually which allows people from all over the city to participate, anywhere, anytime, throughout the day.
The Care Walk also includes a virtual silent auction featuring over 35 different prize packages to bid on.
The prize packages range from a 30-minute photography session to a complete Tiger-Cats fan experience package.
All proceeds from the event go towards helping support individuals and their families who are experiencing cancer.
CAP says on their Twitter that they are just $10,000 away from their fundraising goal, with the silent auction closing at 8 p.m. tonight.
Thank you to everyone who has already participated in #CAPWalk2022 today, raising essential funds to help those experiencing cancer and their families.
