403 in Hamilton closed both ways for police investigation

The Ministry of Transportation is reporting that lanes in both directions of Highway 403 in Hamilton near Main Street West are closed Wednesday (March 4) afternoon.
The Ministry of Transportation is reporting that lanes in both directions of Highway 403 in Hamilton near Main Street West are closed Wednesday (March 4) afternoon.
They Tweeted around 3 pm that a police investigation has closed the highway in both directions.
Hamilton Police Service’s Traffic Twitter account confirmed that the lanes of the 403 between the Linc and York will be closed until further notice.
Police say that Main W between Longwood and Dundurn remain closed as well.
There are unconfirmed reports of a person in crisis and the investigation is ongoing.
There is no word yet on an estimated time for reopening.
Motorists would be wise to seek alternative routes.
UPDATE: Police say the situation has been resolved and roads will be reopening imminently.
