Update: 2 women shot in drive-by shooting in Hamilton

Two women are in hospital after suffering from gunshot wounds during a drive-by shooting in Hamilton.
The OPP responded to reports of a shooting at 7 a.m. this morning near Highway 6, north of Concession 5 East in Flamborough.
Two women, a 24-year-old driver and a 22-year-old passenger, were taken to the hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds.
Police have not provided information on the current condition of either victim, including whether their injuries are life-threatening.
Additionally, police have not released the victims’ identities such as their names and places of residence.
Investigations are in the early stages and it remains unclear whether the incident was targeted or if the victims and suspects knew each other.

Highway 6 was closed in both directions between the 4th and 5th Concession for police investigations.
Update: Reports indicate one woman was in critical, life-threatening condition and the other in serious condition.
