2 people found dead in a Hamilton apartment

Two people were found dead in a Hamilton apartment on Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to an apartment unit on Ottawa Street near Main Street Thursday around 1 p.m., Hamilton Police said in a press release.

Officers found two people inside the apartment who were pronounced dead, police said.

Police didn’t say why emergency crews were called and the age and gender of the two people were not provided.

At this time, no suspects are being sought, and the identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, police said.

The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.
