Woman rams police car, flees custody in Hamilton

The public’s assistance is being requested in helping to locate a 34-year-old woman who fled from custody on Tuesday in Hamilton.

Hamilton police allege Marry Curran ran into a police cruiser in the East End of the city earlier in the day and escaped.

“Curran was last seen heading eastbound on Barton Street from the Hamilton General Hospital,” said Hamilton police.

Curran is facing the following charges:

  • Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Drug
  • Flight From Police
  • Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order
  • Escape Lawful Custody

Curran is described as five-foot-five and 115-pounds with a thin build and white. She has long dyed wavy auburn hair and was wearing a hospital gown.
