Gunshots rang out early this morning in Hamilton

Police are investigating a shooting after gunshots rang out early this morning in Hamilton.

Hamilton Police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Garth Street and Garrow Drive around 4:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, police confirmed multiple shots had been fired but did not provide further details.

Despite an extensive search of the area, police say, no suspects were found.

It is unknown at this time whether anyone was injured as a result of the shooting.

Investigators are urging residents in the area to review their security cameras for any suspicious activity between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. They are also asking drivers who were in the vicinity during that time to check their dashcams for relevant footage.
