Dispute leads to shots fired at people in Hamilton

Police are investigating a violent incident that happened last night following a dispute where gunshots were fired at several people.

Hamilton Police say the incident happened near Upper Wentworth Street and Kingfisher Drive shortly before 6 p.m., after a confrontation escalated, and one individual drew a handgun, firing multiple rounds.

No one was hit or injured during the shooting, police say.

The suspect is believed to be wearing a blue tracksuit with a white circular pattern and a black ski mask. He was last seen running along Upper Wentworth Street near Kingfisher Drive.

Investigators are asking anyone in the area at the time to review their dashcam or surveillance footage and report any findings to the police.
